If you've visited before, you'll be pleased to know that I have added the Catskull Gallery, a section devoted to my efforts at so-called "Fine Art". I hope you'll find it enjoyable. As the gallery develops it will house the works of my daughter, my grandkids, and occasional stuff from friends.

And I'm so sorry that our world has come to this, but I must remind everyone that the artwork contained in this here Woodywings site is copyrighted by each artist, and deserves appropriate respect.

Now that you're properly hyped up, check this stuff out:

WOODYWINGS: is my "woody" approach to the art of aircraft.

THE GLASS FLUTE: I'm pretty much a card-carrying tree hugger; this is my slightly offbeat look at the environmental mess. You'll meet some unusual characters.

OLD BIRDS: I recently started doing a series of "woody" versions of actual vintage, antique and unique aircraft, but that effort was continually interrupted by the demands of work, family and all that; now that I'm retired and have all this time in my hands (ha-ha), expect to see the series grow.

JAZZ FLUTE TIPS: If you can make sounds come out of a flute, and you have ten functional fingers, you can learn to improvise on the instrument. I've prepared a section on Jazz Flute Secrets. No boring lessons, no music to read, just a simple, quick and easy method for beginners and advanced amateurs alike. Start improvising almost instantly.

MUSIC FRIENDS, etc: In the course of countless jam sessions, open mikes, impromptu sit-ins and occasional paid gigs around the State of Texas and elsewhere, I've had the extreme pleasure of sharing some great musical moments with some terrific musicians. Especially Rene West, who trusted my playing enough to let me toot away on her super CD, "Southbound".

CATSKULL GALLERY: An historical collection of my artistic journey that includes pen-and-inks and acrylic on canvas stuff that has been gathering dust in our garage. Plans call for adding artwork by the rest of my artistic family, but for now you can pass judgment on my mildly surrealistic efforts.

MY CUBICLE: While working for the Texas Workforce Commission I enjoyed the distinction of having one of the more uniquely decorated cubicles in all of state officedom.

PHOTOS GALLERY: A collection of our photographic pursuits.
